There’s something truly special about creating pieces that become part of a couple’s big day — and this wedding project was one of my favourites to date. The couple had a beautiful vision: three meaningful symbols that reflected their story and style, turned into elegant, hand-crafted leather coasters for each guest.

The design was thoughtful and symbolic — featuring a monogram, a radiant sunburst, and a pair of intertwined trees. These weren’t just decorative elements; they were chosen with care to represent their journey together. My role was to bring these symbols to life, in leather, by hand.

Each coaster was individually cut, hand-painted, and stamped in my studio. I mixed bespoke paint colours to complement their wedding palette — rich earth tones like burnt sienna, deep chocolate brown, and a soft, glowing ochre gold. With just a hint of metallic shimmer, they looked timeless and elegant under candlelight.

In total, I created 30 coasters, each made to order using beautiful natural leather and finished with care. I wanted them to feel luxurious and personal — keepsakes that guests would genuinely treasure long after the celebration was over.

Projects like this are exactly why I love what I do. Handmade isn’t just about the process — it’s about the collaboration, the meaning behind the details, and making something that lasts.
